This song deals with the adultery between Osan and Mohei, known from Ihara Saikaku's "Koshoku Gonin Onna" Volume 3, Utasaibun, and Chikamatsu Monzaemon's "Daikyoushi Mukashireki." The song describes the couple's journey as they flee from home, attempting to outrun their pursuers. |
