History:
| Composed by Tomiyama Seikin I in July 1945. This work was composed during evacuation to Ohara, Tomo Village, Asa District, Hiroshima Prefecture (present-day Tomo, Numata Town, Hiroshima City). Originally composed as a koto solo piece in the style of an etude. Later, koto accompaniment and shamisen were added. The theme is the sound of a stream by the evacuee's home. The opening "ton ten ton ten chitsu ten shān" serves as thematic. This piece was composed for practicing basic koto techniques. |
