Born November 19, 1934 in Ōsaka, Kikuaki Seika (Yano Taeko) studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Kikutana Getsusei. She received the Ōsaka Cultural Festival Award in 1966 and 1969. She was a member of the Tōdō Ongaku-kai and on the board of directors of the Ōsaka Sankyoku Kyōkai.
