Kikumasa Shizue (Okamoto Shizuko) was born April 2, 1910 in Sapporo. She studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Kikugishi Takano and received her teaching license in 1939. A member of the Osaka Tōdō Ongaku-kai, she taught and performed for more than 40 years.
