Kikuyoshi Tadamasa (Kodera Tadamasa) was born October 16, 1908 in Hyōgo Prefecture. He studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Kikunaga Sonoji and received his teaching license in 1927. A teacher and performer for almost 60 years, he was director of the head branch of the Tōdō Ongaku-kai and an instructor at the Sonoda Gakuen Koto school.
