Satō Fumie (Satō Fumiko) was born in Hitoyoshi City, February 1, 1912. She studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Matsumori Yukio and Enatsu Masae. She began teaching in 1969 and belonged to the Hatsune-kai.
