Sakamoto Shūgyoku II (Sasaki Sue) was born in Okayama Prefecture, June 8, 1900. She studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Sakamoto Shūgyoku I. During a career spanning more than 50 years, she was a member of the Osaka Yūkai, the Japan Koto Association, the Hyōgo Prefecture Koto and String Association, and the Kōbe Sankyoku Dōshi-kai.
