Shiraishi Setsuyō (Shiraishi Setsuko) was born in Ehime Prefecture, February 8, 1930. She studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Nakamura Sōyō, and earned her teaching credentials in 1953. She was a member of the Yōfū-kai.
