Shimoda Ichiko

Born in Nagano Prefecture, July 19, 1918, Shimoda Ichiko studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Tokutake Taneko, receiving her masters license in 1945. A member of the Tōdō Ongaku-kai and Kinwa-kai, she was an active performer and teacher for more than 40 years.
