Yoshioka Tatsunosuke

Born in Tokyo in 1980, Tatsunosuke Yoshioka received shakuhachi training from his father, Tatsumi Yoshioka, from a young age. After graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts, he participated in the NHK Traditional Japanese Music Skills Training Association. He continues to strive to further improve his musical technique. He specializes in classical honkyoku (traditional Japanese classical music) and enjoys performing pieces with deep spiritual meaning. Recently, he has also been focusing on collaborative performances with other genres. He has participated in numerous concerts and commemorative events both in Japan and abroad, receiving rave reviews. He is a member of the Yoshioka Hōgakusha, Nagareyama City Hōgaku Sankyoku-kai, and the Japanese musical instrument unit Oborozuki.
