Koto - Shamisen

Born in Hiroshima Prefecture, March 13, 1905, Nakajima Chihoko studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Nakajima Kengyō II , Takeuchi Daikengyō, and Tomizaki Shunshō.
She received her Shihan (teaching license) when she was only 11 years old.
Received the Minister of Foreign Affairs' Award in commemoration of 100 years of Japanese diplomatic relations.
She was head of the Kinyū-kai, leader of the Tōdō-kai, and active as a teacher and performer for over 60 years.
