Born in Tokyo, January 26, 1914, Noguchi Mikio (Noguchi Fumiko) studied Yamada-ryū koto and shamisen under Torii Tonami V and Nakanoshima Kin’ichi. She graduated from the Tokyo College of Music in 1940, and began teaching in 1942. She belonged to the Yōna-kai and Shinchō-kai, and was a member of the Sōyū-kai. She was an active performer and teacher for more than 40 years.
