For more than 50 years, Fujii Seiju (Fujii Kiyome), performed and taught Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen. Born December 12, 1894, she studied under Fukunaga Shūko of the Tōdō Ongaku-kai as well as Matsushima Itoju. She belonged to the Matsusei-kai and was a council member of the Nihon Sankyoku Kyōkai.
