Born April 12, 1909 in Kumamoto City, Fujisaki Seiko studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Kikutsuji Hatsuko, Kan Nakako, Nakatsu Eiko, and Shiga Kazu. She received her Shihan (master teacher’s license) in 1927 and was active as a performer and teacher for more than 40 years.
