Miura Kimie (Miura Kimi) was born January 21, 1921 in Aomori Prefecture. She studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Miura Akie and Itō Sayoko. She started teaching in 1952 and belonged to the Ikuta-ryū Kitani-ha. She was a performer and teacher for more than 40 years.
