Born November 25, 1933 in Tokyo, Momiyama Eishū (Momiyama Sahoko) studied Yamada-ryū koto and shamisen under both Koshino Eishō I and II, Takahashi Eisei II, and Mochizuki Tsuneko.
She started teaching in 1952.
She was the head of the Tomekin-kai.
