Born January 2, 1912 in Okayama Prefecture, Morita Sadako studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Miyagi Michio. She began teaching in 1933. She served as director as well as a council member of the Miyagi-kai. She served as a lecturer at the Asahi Cultural Center. Active as a teacher and performer for more than 50 years.
