Born October 21, 1934 in Shiga Prefecture, Reimei Hideko (Kimura Eiko) studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Hiratsuka Yoshio (Kōzan II). She started teaching in 1967 and belonged to the Reimei-kai and Kōrei Hōgaku-kai.
