Adachi Genzan (Adachi Yasuo) was born January 5, 1926. He studied Tozan-ryū shakuhachi under Yoshimura Kaizan, attaining the rank of Dai-Shihan and the title Chikurin-ken. He was the manager and auditor of the Aichi Prefecture Tozan-ryū Branch office.
