Imaue Ginryū (Imaue Akira) Born November 1, 1947 in Kagawa Prefecture, studied Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Nakagawa Ginrei. He began teaching in 1968. He belonged to the Kinko-ryū Ginyū-kai and was active as a teacher and performer for more than 40 years.
