Born October 17, 1910 in Gifu Prefecture, Kawamori Itsusen (Kawamori Norimasa) studied Itsudō-ha Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Inō Itsuei and Mizutani Itsusei. He started teaching in 1935. He was the Toki branch manager of the Kinko-ryū Itsudō-ha Shakuhachi Workshop and was active in the shakuhachi world for more than 40 years.
