Born January 8, 1934 in Tokyo, Kido Kōzan (Kido Hideo) studied Tozan-ryū shakuhachi under Ishii Kōzan and Katō Seizan. He became an instructor in 1958. Belongs to the Tozan-ryū Tama Executive Association and headed the Kōzan-kai.
