Born December 17, 1933 in Nagano City, Tachibana Reikō (Tachibana Yukio) studied Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Suzuki Reirin and began teaching in 1962. He belonged to the Reibo-kai and was the head of the Reikō-kai.
