Born in Nara prefecture, May 27, 1932, Kikuhashi Juyō (Hashimoto Ryōko) studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Kikuta Utao II. She began teaching in 1957 and was a member of the Tōdō Ongaku-kai and the Kinkiku-kai.
