Born in Kyōto Prefecture, January 18, 1936, Kikumaki Isuzu (Ishijima Isuzu) studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Kikutsugi Akiko. She started teaching in 1967 and was affiliated with the Tōdō Ongaku-kai.
