Born in Sendai City, April 11, 1934, Kobayashi Yoshiko studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Endō Sōkin and Endō Sōkō. She was a member of the Shinsō-kai and Shūkin-kai, and head of the Matsumi-kai.
