Seki Fumiharu

Seki Fumiharu (Seki Teruko) was born in Tokyo, August 10, 1909. She studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Yonekawa Fumiko I, earning her Shihan (masters license) in 1931. A member of the Sōchō-kai as well as a council member of the Nihon Sankyoku Kyōkai, she was active as a performer and teacher for more than 50 years.
