Takano Yoshinaga
高野 喜長

Born in Fukushima Prefecture, October 2, 1924, Takano Yoshinaga studied Yamada-ryū koto and shamisen under Sekine Yumese, Hisamoto Genchi, and Tanabe Hisao. He graduated from the Tokyo School for the Blind and the Tokyo University of the Arts, where he also studied composition. He won the Tokyo Shimbun Competition Composition Division and the NHK Composers Award. He is the founder of the Koyū-kai.
