Takeuchi Kyūsen

Born in Tokyo, October 23, 1892, Takeuchi Kyūsen (Takeuchi Shizu) studied Yamada-ryū koto and shamisen under Murata Shōsen I. An active performer and teacher for more than 70 years, she was head of the Yachiyo-kai and a member of the Shōbu-kai.
