Takizawa Sumise

Takizawa Sumise (Takizawa Sumiko) was born in Tokyo, January 4, 1923. She studied Yamada-ryū koto and shamisen under Hisamoto Genchi, Takao Shōyō, Saitō Shōsei, and Torii Tonami. A graduate of the Music Department of the Tokyo School for the Blind, she began teaching koto in 1944. She was a member of the Hōsū-kai.
