Tatsumi Saemi (Tatsumi Emi) was born in Hamamatsu City, January 4, 1926. Studied Yamada-ryū koto and shamisen under Nagashima Samie and was awarded her teaching credentials in 1945. She belonged to the Mamakoto-kai and was a member of the Shizuoka Sankyoku Renmei and the Hamamatsu Sankyoku Kyōkai.
