Born in Tokyo, April 4, 1944, Hashimoto Kachiyōbi (Hashimoto Fumiko) studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Machida Kachiyō, and began teaching in 1966. She belonged to the Kanto branch of the Chikushi-kai.
