Fuse Sonomaro (Fuse Yoshiko) was born May 23, 1941 in Tokyo. She studied Yamada-ryū koto and shamisen under Yokoi Sonoyu (Yamakawa Enshō lineage) and started teaching in 1961. She graduated from the 8th class of the NHK Ikusei-kai and belonged to the Shunwa-kai and Hachino-kai troupes.
