Born in Osaka Prefecture, July 25, 1913, Nakahisa Kinshō (Nakano Hideyuki) studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Nakahira Fukunoto, earning his teaching license in 1923. He founded the Sōkyoku Tōdō-kai in 1933. He was active as a teacher and performer for more than 50 years.
