Mori Kashiō (Mori Mizuho) was born December 18, 1939 in Nagasaki Prefecture. She studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Hirata Kaei (of the Chikushi Katsuko lineage). She started teaching in 1970 and belonged to the Chikushi-kai.
