Born June 7, 1920 in Chiba Prefecture, Yamazaki Hideko studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Miyagi Shinzō and began teaching in 1955. She was a director of Kinrei-kai and an instructor at the Chiba University Koto Club.
