Yamanouchi Kayoko (Yamanouchi Kikuko) was born February 12, 1935 in Yamaguchi Prefecture. She studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Uda Kanomi and Kunishige Kaemi. She became a teacher in 1969 and belonged to the Chikushi-kai.
