Watanabe Chikayoshiha (Watanabe Harue) was born February 26, 1930 in Shizuoka Prefecture. She studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Arimatsu Chikayoshi (Yonekawa lineage) and started teaching in 1960. She belonged to the Numazu branch of the Kensō-kai.
