Shiraishi Ryōfū (Shiraishi Toshio) was born January 16, 1931 in Ehime Prefecture. He studied Kinko-ryū under Tamura Seisui. Also studied the Ueda-ryū and Tozan-ryū repertoire. He began teaching in 1970. He was a member of the Bifū-kai Uji branch and the Chikusui-kai.
