Born on July 12, 1897, Miwa Eidō (Miwa Zenichi), studied Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Kimura Yūsai. During his more than 50 years teaching and performing, he was a member of the Chikusen-kai and a councilor of the Japan Sankyoku Association.
