Shakuhachi

Itō Goun was born in Miyagi Prefecture in 1905.
He studied Kinko-ryū shakuhachi with Inoue Shigemi, then Kinpū-ryū with Narita Shōei, and Kinko-ryū honkyoku with Kimura Yūsai.
Began teaching in 1941.
His career in shakuhachi spanned more than 40 years.
