Kurosawa Masachika (Kurosawa Chikako) was born in Morioka City, March 20, 1944. She studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Gotō Sumiko and Shigeishi Ayako. She graduated from the NHK Development Association and the Seiha Music Academy, and was a member of the groups Mugi and Kiriin-kai, as well as co-leader of the Kurosawa Koto School.
