Shin Haya-zarashi

新早ざらし

[ジャンル]新曲
[対象楽器]初代 富山 清琴 - 三絃

発祥:

The original piece ("Furusarashi") was composed by Kitazawa Kōtō.
The first adaptation (commonly known as "Sarashi") was by Fukakusa Kengyō.
While "Haya-zarashi" is said to have been handed down by Master Hagiwara Seigin, this version is a new arrangement by Tomiyama Seikin I.
The original piece was a long-form song for shamisen. In 1789, it became a tegotomono (the Fukakusa adaptation of "Sarashi"). This version follows suit as a tegotomono.
This piece is mainly a long song composed of short poems about the drying of cloth along the Uji River. The version incorporated into the Yamada school of koto music has undergone several revisions, and today, the most famous example is Shin-zarashi, arranged by Nakanoshima Kin'ichi. The cadenza of this piece also shows this influence.
