| Composed by Tomiyama Seikin (with contributions from Imai Kinzaburō) in October 1962. Commissioned by Tokyo Broadcasting System. Tomiyama based this piece on a very old composition called Araninezumi, of which only the lyrics survive, to which he added new narrational sections. This piece can be considered a sequel to Araninezumi, now following a large group of mice seeking revenge on a cat. Onomatopoeic sounds of mice can be heard throughout. |
