Shimokawa Tomiko

Shimokawa Tomiko was born in Hiroshima Prefecture, July 4, 1929. She studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Shimokawa Chisami, Fujii Rie, and Miyazawa Masao, earning her teaching license in 1955. A member of the Chūgoku Branch of the Miyagi-kai, she was active as a performer and teacher for more than 40 years.
