Suzumura Toyoharu

Born in Tokyo, June 13, 1915, Suzumura Toyoharu (Suzumura Haruko) studied Yamada-ryū shamisen and koto under Chibu Toyose. She was head of the Toyoharu-kai and a member of the Hōhi-kai. A koto instructor at the Musashino University Hōgaku Department and the Tokyo School for the Blind, she was a contemporary of the teachers Hisamoto Genchi, Saitō Shōsei, and Makibuchi Hisae.
