Tsudō Setsuko (Kondō Shizuko) was born in Osaka Prefecture, April 1, 1907. She studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Tsuda Yoneko, earning her Shihan (masters license) in 1927. A member of the Kotonae-kai, she was active as a performer and a teacher for 60 years.
