Born in Tottori Prefecture, February 29, 1944, Tsunoda Kasen (Tsunoda Hiroko) studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Itō Kimiko and Itō Kosen. She received her teaching license in 1968 and belonged to the Kosen-kai.
