Hayashi Hiyō

A performer and teacher for more than 50 years, Hayashi Hiyō (Hayashi Taeko) was born October 23, 1909 in Osaka Prefecture. She studied Ikuta-ryū koto and shamisen under Nakamura Sōyō, Miyagi Michio, Hisamoto Genchi, and Kikugata Kinshō. She began teaching in 1952 and belonged to the Hafū-kai.
