Sata Keishō

Sata Keishō (Sata Masako) was born in Kōbe City, November 3, 1904. She studied Ikuta-ryū shamisen and koto under Sasaki Kinuko and Hagiwara Seigin, earning her Shihan (masters license) in 1931. Affiliated with the Kyoto Tōdōkai, she was active as both a performer and teacher for almost 65 years.
